WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Follow assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring quality inspections and documentation are completed at every stage of manufacturing (Saw & Burn, Welding, Shot Blast, Paint, Machine Shop, Assembly)
  • Develop or contribute to Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), in-process inspection checklists, and final documentation packages as required
  • Conduct and document incoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, welding procedures, coating requirements, machining tolerances, and assembly criteria
  • Monitor hold points and inspection checkpoints, ensuring proper sign-offs and coordination with customers or third-party inspectors
  • Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and track rework/repair activities to completion

WHO YOU ARE

  • Previous experience in quality assurance/control and compliance in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills in MS Excel, MRP systems and accounting software, applied in a work setting
  • Intellectually curious, passionate about learning and being the best

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for all aspects of handling export shipment documents including the coordination of freight for shipments. The position summary is to be used as a guideline only and may not incorporate all functions of the job.
  • Maintain US Customs paperwork, export declarations, CUSMA/USMCA/T-MEX
  • Create and maintain a master list of tariff codes by product line
  • Organized and maintain all customer export shipment files
  • Complete application of export permits as required; liaison with broker as required
  • Liaison with freight forwarder regarding shipping documents
  • Work with the Quality department to verify traceability documentation is available
  • Ensure that actual freight cost is less than, or equal to, the estimated freight rate
  • Inform customer when shipment has left the factory and monitor progress of shipment to be sure goods arrive
  • Handle preparation of airway bills and bookings with couriers for shipping of catalogues, proposals, etc.
  • Work with Project Management department on creating shipping lists
  • Back-up and assistance as required for other positions within the Administration department 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Previous experience in a logistic/supply chain position in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on export shipments
  • Completed CUSMA/USMCA/T-MEX courses
  • Strong computer skills in MS Excel, MRP systems and accounting software, applied in a work setting
  • Intellectually curious, passionate about learning and being the best
  • Sense of urgency, highly responsive and oriented towards action

  • Interpret engineering drawings to set up and operate a plasma table to fabricated parts for manufacturing our equipment
  • Weld components and assemblies using MCAW and FCAW, including both carbon and stainless-steel welding processes
  • Observe and take part in testing on welded surfaces, such as visual inspection, magnetic particle (MPI), ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic examination (RT or X-ray), to evaluate weld quality as well as conform to dimensional tolerances

WHO YOU ARE

  • Certified CWB Welder or recently held previous MCAW and FCAW tickets
  • Previous experience welding in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment

  • Perform all types of industrial painting work and prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, taping or other means as necessary

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Work with internal stakeholders to conceptualize solutions for our customers’ applications; doing calculations, writing proposals, creating renderings and drawings, setting market pricing
  • Estimate the total cost for the product while obtaining market feedback to validate, liaising with engineering, production, and vendors
  • Support the outside sales team in closing sales and developing long-term growth and success for our customers
  • Play a key role in our ongoing success and growth, acting as the glue between customers and our engineering and sales departments
  • The link between following market trends and developing industry-leading products for our customers
  • Generate and evaluate customer inquiry specifications and applications 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Previous experience in heavy equipment industry, with an understanding of both application of machinery and equipment costing, with some customer facing experience
  • Post-secondary education in engineering or business

  • Sense of urgency, highly responsive and oriented towards action
  • Can-do attitude, and respond in all situations with a positive and energized attitude
